Trailer for Edward Burns' Latest Indie Drama 'Newlyweds'

"We need to get as far away from any of our relatives as possible." Perfect for Thanksgiving week, right? An official trailer has debuted on Apple for the film Newlyweds, a new indie romantic drama starring and directed by Edward Burns, who you may recognize as an actor, but has been a director for a while as well. It's a drama about newlyweds, obviously, who get disrupted by Burns' half-sister, learning what it means to be married in the process. The cast includes Caitlin FitzGerald as his other half, Linda, Kerry Bishe as the sister, plus Max Baker. This looks rather quirky and entertaining for an indie, so give it a shot. Enjoy!
Watch the official trailer for Edward Burns' Newlyweds, originally in high def via Apple:
Buzzy (Burns) and Katie (FitzGerald) are a newly married couple living a seemingly conflict-free life. But when Buzzy's damaged and impulsive half-sister arrives at their doorstep hoping to stay for an indefinite period in their Tribeca loft, her antics threaten to disrupt the couple's commitment to an "easy" marriage.
Newlyweds is both written & directed by New York-born actor-filmmaker Edward Burns, whose directorial filmography includes The Brothers McMullen, She's the One, Sidewalks of New York, The Groomsmen, Purple Violets and Nice Guy Johnny last year. This had an early premiere at the Amsterdam Film Week and played at the Tribeca Film Festival. It's getting a very limited release starting December 26th this winter.

Trailer for The Darkest Hour

Last week a new featurette shed some light on the Moscow set action sci-fi flick The Darkest Hour, a film that, judging by the first trailer, looks like it just might be an Russian version of Skyline with better actors, and more active characters. That first trailer also included some exposition ridden lines of dialogue to give us an idea of what kind of strange aliens Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby and Max Minghella would be battling, but this new international trailer does away with that and uses a dubstep, Skrillex-like soundtrack along with a bunch of sweet action to sell the film to people who love techno and nightclubs. Watch it below!

Here's the international trailer for Chris Gorak's sci-fi flick The Darkest Hour (via SlashFilm):
Directed by Chris Gorak (Right at Your Door), produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and written by Jon Spaihts (Ridley Scott's Prometheus), the film is about five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack. Emile Hirsch (Speed Racer) leads the cast including Olivia Thirlby (Juno), Max Minghella (The Social Network), Rachael Taylor (Transformers) and Joel Kinnaman. Summit Entertainment is bringing Chris Gorak's The Darkest Hour to theaters on December 23rd, Christmas weekend, this winter.

New Images From Prometheus

The upcoming edition of Entertainment Weekly has some great new images from Ridley Scott's Prometheus. Starring Logan Marshall-Green, Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba and Charlize Theron, the film comes out June 8, 2012.

G.I.JOE 1/6 Black Dragon Ninja

Both the G.I.JOE team and the terrorist organization COBRA are keenly aware of the superior martial arts skills possessed by members of the ARASHIKAGE CLAN. While COBRA COMMANDER has employed the RED NINJAs from the ARASHIKAGE ninja clan, the ruthless leader formed a select group of ninjas who were completely loyal to protect him should the RED NINJAs or any opposing force ever get too close, leading to the establishment of COBRA'S BLACK DRAGON NINJAS.

COBRA COMMANDER had his BLACK DRAGON NINJAS brainwashed as a precaution to ensure that his growing ranks of ARASHIKAGE never rise up against him or COBRA. Little did he know that the ninja STORM SHADOW is a master of the atsui nami (a deep mind control technique), which he cunningly used on the BLACK DRAGON NINJAS to ensure their allegiance to him.

Regardless of who their true master is, these ruthless ninja warriors are swift, silent, and deadly, and they pose a tremendous threat to anyone who crosses them.

Chinese Motorcycle Rain…Tent :)

Unlike other motor vehicle operators, motorcyclists are exposed to the elements of nature, be that wind, rain, snow or temperature extremes.
Of course, when the weather gets rough and tough, the smart thing to do is just find another mode of transportation, but sometimes that's not an option for all people.
Fortunately, at least when it comes to light rain and snow, there's an abundance of waterproof apparel available in the market. And then there's this: one Chinese company has come up with a very bizarre solution that looks a lot more like a tent than motorcycle gear.
It can even fit two people though something tells us that you wouldn't want to be caught in one if anything bad were to happen…

2012 Honda CR-V Video

Being that's only a matter of weeks before the new CR-V arrives in Honda's showrooms across the United States, it doesn't come to much of a surprise that the media has already had some time behind the wheel of the Japanese maker's crossover model.
Today, we found two first test drive videos of the 2012 Honda CR-V from Motor Trend magazine and Consumer Reports, both of which, more or less state the same: that the crossover model has been refined in an evolutionary manner building on the qualities of its predecessor.
You can watch both tests along with Honda's first web-commercial on the new CR-V right after the break.

Chrysler 300 See it Through with Mannish Boy

We'll admit that the title may seem like yours truly forgot to take his meds today – but for better or for worse, that’s not the case. You see, all three quotes come from Chrysler's new 60-second ad that will air on Thanksgiving Day during the Lions-Packers football game.
“See it Through” is a 1917 poem by Michigan poet laureate, Edgar A. Guest. The carmaker says that it's appropriate since it exemplifies the comeback of Detroit and Chrysler.
“This new ad is a humble thanksgiving nod to everyone who has believed in Chrysler’s resurgence”, said Saad Chehab, President and CEO of Chrysler Brand.
“Year-over-year Chrysler sales were up 28% last month, the best October sales since 2007, and Chrysler 300 retail sales more than doubled. Chrysler has taken Guest’s words to heart, ‘seeing it through’ with sales growth and award-winning products," he added.
The spot shows a Chrysler 300 driving through various neighborhoods in Detroit, with a voice reciting Guest’s poem while Muddy Waters’ “Mannish Boy” is playing on the background. It ends with “The new Chrysler 300. More than just our flagship”, accompanied by the firm's now famous, “Imported from Detroit” tag that we first heard during the Super Bowl.
You can watch the spot right after the jump.

Dodge Bound Sedan Model will Not be Called the Hornet

We've known for a while now that Dodge plans to introduce a new compact sedan model based on a Fiat platform that will replace the Caliber at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next January.
While the company is keeping most of its cards close to its chest, Reid Biglund, head of the Dodge brand told the Detroit News we'll find out more in the coming weeks including the car's name which he says won't be Hornet as some media outlets suggested. "Hornet will not be the name," said Biglund.
The Dodge boss said he was very excited about the new sedan model that will rival the likes of the Honda Civic, VW Jetta, Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus and Hyundai Elantra.
"I've never been more excited about a new car than I am about the new compact. It fills a significant hole in the product portfolio," said Biglund. "So this compact vehicle is going to allow us to compete in 100 percent of the market."
According to sources, the new Dodge sedan will share the same basic floorplan as the Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatchback.

NASCAR Tony Stewart and F1 Lewis Hamilton Swap Seats

Formula 1 is considered the top form of motorsports thanks to its cutting-edge technology and worldwide appeal. Well, almost worldwide: despite Bernie Ecclestone's efforts, F1 hasn’t really caught up in the U.S.
NASCAR, on the other hand, despite being much more low-tech, is the series to watch in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Michelle Obama booing Brave. But it remains solely an American thing.
Drivers from different forms of racing swapping seats is not an unusual sight, but it’s not very common, either. In this video, Tony Stewart climbed in Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren-Mercedes and the 2008 Formula 1 World Champion strapped himself in NASCAR’s newly crowned champion Chevrolet Impala.
Check out the video that shows the two champions drive each other’s ride at the Watkins Glen track.

Lexus Brings Facebook Competition Winners to Silverstone to Drive the LFA

While Ferrari is doing its best to alienate not only the brand's fans, but even its customers as well, another automaker, Lexus, did something that is extremely rare when it comes to limited-run specialty models like the LFA supercar.
And what may that be, we hear you ask? The Japanese company's British division organized a competition on its official Facebook page giving three people the opportunity to drive around the famous Silverstone track in the LFA.
The lucky winners were Jon Eliel, a freelance events director, Oliver Storry, a commercial pilot, and Tim Andrew, a professional photographer. The LFA driving event took place at Silverstone on November 2.
Watch the film from the track-packed day in the video after the break, while if you scroll further down, you'll find a comprehensive gallery that includes some pretty cool pictures.
