It was only a matter of time before Nissan introduced a full-size passenger version of its NV commercial van series for the States.
Available for both personal and fleet use, the new NV3500 HD Passenger Van boasts four rows of seats that can accommodate up to 12 passengers.
Nissan says its new large van offers up to 324 possible seat configurations, with passengers having the option to completely remove and/or reposition the 2nd and 3rd row seats, and partially or completely remove the 50/50-split 4th row bench.
Other highlights include mobile office support with 120V outlets, wide door openings, rear 50/50-split French doors, available personal lamps for 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows and several technological gizmos such as navigation system, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System and an integrated rear view camera to help park the massive beast.
The 2012 NV3500 HD Passenger Van will be available with a choice of two engines, a 4.0-liter V6 producing 261HP and 281 lb-ft of torque, or a V8 delivering 317-horses and 385 lb-ft of torque. Both the V6 and V8 powerplants are matched to a heavy-duty 5-speed automatic transmission.
The V6 model is offered in two trim levels, S and SV, while the V8 only in SL guise.
The new Nissan passenger Van will reach U.S. showrooms in spring of 2012.
