Thriller for Contraband

"Now that is a world class smuggler, man!" A brand new UK trailer for Universal's remake of Reykjavik-Rotterdam retitled Contraband has arrived thanks to MSN UK, and it's worth seeing. This is the first time I've ever heard anyone use a track from Daft Punk's Tron Legacy score as trailer music, but I guess it works. Contraband stars Mark Wahlberg as a smuggler who has to do one more job to save his family, but things go awry and all hell breaks loose. The official US trailer hit a few months back. It's also great to see Lukas Haas in this trailer briefly, along with Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster and Giovanni Ribisi. Take a look!
Watch the newest UK trailer for Baltasar Kormákur's Contraband, straight from MSN UK:
Chris Farraday long ago abandoned his life of crime, but after his brother-in-law, Andy, botches a deal for his ruthless boss, he's forced back into doing what he does best — running contraband — to settle the debt.
Contraband is directed by Icelandic filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur, an actor and director of films including 101 Reykjavík, The Sea, A Little Trip to Heaven, Jay City, Brúðguminn and Inhale previously. This is a remake of the 2008 film Reykjavik-Rotterdam, which Baltasar Kormákur also appeared in, featuring a new screenplay adaptation by Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners). Working Title & Universal will release Contraband in theaters everywhere starting on January 13th, 2012, early next year. Anyone interested in seeing this?
